Biography

Mary Ann Jones was born in 1871 to William Jones Jr. and Mary Hague (Höck). Her early years were spent living in the log house that William Jones Sr constructed along Brandt School Rd.

Mary Ann, who lost her father when she was 13, continued living in the log house until she married Davis Ford on May 7, 1891. Nearly a year later, they welcomed their first child, Ralph. However, the joy of their new baby soon overshadowed by the tragic death of Mary Ann's brother, Johnson Jones. Mary Ann and Davis lived in a two-story house on a farm - it was demolished in the early 1980's to build a housing development.
